On October 12, the delegation of Calais Government and Consul General of the Consulate General for France in Wuhan visited Xiangtan, and Calais Tourism, Education and Culture Promotion Meeting was held. In the meeting, Zhu Youhong, the Director of the Management Committee of Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and Natasha Bouchard, the Mayor of Calais and Deputy Chairman of Regional Council, signed economic cooperation framework agreement on behalf of Xiangtan and Calais respectively under joint witness of Tan Wensheng, the Deputy Secretary of Xiangtan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Xiangtan, Su Jianquan, Chen Xiaoshan, the Deputy Mayors of Xiangtan, Yang Yingjie, the Secretary General of Xiangtan Municipal Government, and other leaders. Xiangtan and Calais will carry put business attractions, exchange and communication in economic and trade fields from time to time to promote in-depth communication and cooperation between China and France.
On that day, the delegation visited Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone and inspected Hunan Sangnisendi Toy Manufacturing Company and Xiangtan Bonded Goods Center project. The delegation were quite interested in the food grade toys and France imported goods, they said they would introduce France toy enterprises and high quality goods to Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone to jointly promote economic and trade development of Xiangtan and Calais by virtue of the advantages of Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
