On the morning of 16th August, a good news came from “Shanghai Cooperation Week” that the Management Committee of Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone (Xiangtan CBZ) successfully signed cooperation agreement with Shanghai Zheng Ming Modern Logistics Company regarding temperature controlled supply chain logistics distribution center project.
In the Xiangtan Tourism and Modern Agriculture Project Promotion Meeting, Zhu Youhong, the director of Management Committee of Xiangtan CBZ, and Zheng Fugui, the vice president of Shanghai Zheng Ming Modern Logistics Company, on behalf of Xiangtan CBZ and Shanghai Zheng Ming Modern Logistics Company, respectively, signed cooperation agreement. The program, with RMB300 million investment, covering an area of 60 square kilometers, will establish various projects, including temperature controlled storage, E-commerce, distribution processing, temperature controlled industry technology research and development, supply chain finance, cold chain distribution and supporting service. It is estimated that the program will yield output value of more than RMB100 million in the first stage after operation.
Shanghai Zheng Ming Modern Logistics Company built connection with Xiangtan CBZ in August 2014 when Fan Hongxi, the chairman of Shanghai Logistics Entrepreneur Association, visited Hunan with his delegation group, including Huang Zhengming, the chairman of Shanghai Zheng Ming Modern Logistics Company, to select a place to invest and establish a cold chain logistics distribution base. They visited Changsha Jinxia Bonded Logistics Park, Xiangtan Economic and Technological Development Zone and Xiangtan CBZ, and carried out several rounds of communication and evaluation regarding the program. On 7th July 2016, Chen Xiaoshan, the deputy mayor of Xiangtan Municipal People’s Government, led heads of Management Committee of Xiangtan CBZ, Shaoshan Customs, and Shaoshan Entry - Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau to visit Shanghai Zheng Ming Modern Logistics Company, which further promoted the progress of the program. During the visit, they discussed matters on classified supervision of goods and agreed to sign formal cooperation agreement in “Shanghai Cooperation Week”. The visit greatly promoted the program.
Leaders from municipal government, including Cao Jiongfang, Tan Wensheng, Chen Zhonghong, Yang Zhenping, Chen Xiaoshan and Sun Yinsheng, and deputy chief of Hunan Provincial Business Department Xiao Bin attended signing ceremony.
