On the afternoon of July 29, Qian Shengguang, general manager of Schaeffler (Xiangtan) Co., Ltd., and his delegation visited Xiangtan to exchange views on matters related to import and export customs clearance. MAO Jie, deputy director of Shaoshan Customs Authority, Zhang Wen, member of the Party Working Committee and vice director of the Management Committee of Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone (XTCBZ), Cao Guqiao, deputy county leader, and leaders of relevant departments of Shaoshan Customs Authority, Economic Development Zone and XTCBZ attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Schaeffler made a full communication with relevant departments of Shaoshan Customs Authority, Economic Development Zone and XTCBZ on such customs service as customs clearance, destination inspection, reduction or exemption of tax of equipment import. Schaeffler said that it would make full use of the advantages of the functional platform of XTCBZ and the convenient customs clearance policies of Shaoshan Customs Authority to actively expand its business in Xiangtan and make contributions to the development of Xiangtan’s open economy. Deputy Director Zhang Wen made a remark that XTCBZ would actively assist Schaeffler in carrying out foreign trade business in Xiangtan, and suggested that a special team consisting of special people be established to provide more efficient and convenient services for enterprises. Deputy Director MAO Jie said that Shaoshan Customs Authority would fully support the development of Schaeffler’s business in Xiangtan, give full play to the leading role of customs functions, improve service, further optimize the customs clearance efficiency, and safeguard Xiangtan’s “Upgrade Economy”.
