On March 24th, Hunan’s connection to the “One Belt and One Road” strategic research group of Hunan province led by leaders such as Gao Guoli, deputy director and researcher of Land Development and Regional Economic Research Institute of NDRC (National Development and Reform Commission), and associate researcher Cao Zhongxiang came to Xiangtan CBZ to inspect and investigate the implementation of the related national strategies. Tan Wensheng (member of standing committee of Xiangtan Party Committee and executive vice mayor of Xiangtan), Peng Shulong (deputy secretary general of Xiangtan Government), Liao Xiaoyan (director of Xiangtan Development and Reform Commission), Zhang Bi (vice director of Xiangtan Development and Reform Commission), and Cai Deqiang (vice director of Management Committee of Xiangtan CBZ) accompanied the group in the inspection and investigation.
After Mr. Cai Deqiang gave a report on the Zone’s present situations such as the overall construction progress, investment promotion and development orientation, the group then paid a visit to the Zone’s supervision facilities and infrastructure such as its main checkposts, supervision places and examination platforms. Mr Gao Guoli pointed out that, as the frontier of China’s opening wider to the outside and the main battlefield of connecting to the “One Belt and One Road” strategy, Xiangtan CBZ should make full use of such favorable policies as “boned tax”, “tax exemption” and “tax rebates” of specially supervised areas, vigorously bring in high-quality processing, trade, storage and logistics projects, and encourage enterprises to “go out” boldly and promote their products in the global market.
